What do we expect from our members?

• Acknowledgment and advocacy of the objectives and responsibilities of the Global Economic Network and the Global Compact
• Ethical and social competence
• Readiness to talk with other members of the Senate and/or of the commission
• Representation of the International Senate and/or the commission respectively in public as well as participation in events of the Senate and/or commissions

How much time do I have to dedicate to the GEN?

• Every member decides this him- or herself. Participation in events and activities is desirable and will take place within the framework of the time limits every members has.

What are the objectives and responsibilities of the Global Economic Network?

• Promotion of a worldwide eco-social market economy,
• Promotion of a just design of globalisation,
• Promotion of “Corporate Social Responsibility” and “Social Entrepreneurship”,
• Promotion of national and international economic development,
• Promotion of worldwide networking and cooperation of its members,
• Promotion of a positive image of entrepreneurs and executives in public through the exemplary function of its members,
• Promotion of ethics in the interaction of economy, politics and society. 

How will these objectives be implemented?

• Contribution to general consulting towards common welfare for decision makers on a national up to an international level.
• Contribution to the political decision-making process through development of proposals which are oriented towards common welfare as well as globally responsible and practically implementable.
• Development of and contribution to comprehensive and especially innovative solution concepts for better design of globalisation, like e.g. the concept of a Global Marshall Plan, and their publication.
• Nomination of competent conversational partners from the circle of its members for interviews, statements, reports etc. in the media.
• Annual presentation of the „Vision Awards“ to exceptionally innovative Concepts for the Future or exemplary projects and “Social Entrepreneurs”.
• Establishment of the „Vision Fund“ for the eradication of poverty, climate change and education.

What can I expect from membership for myself and for my company?

• Participation in activities as well as exchange of ideas and experiences with other members offers synergies and conclusions enriching the personal and professional lives of the members of the Senate and the commissions. On request, the Board of Directors actively coordinates the cooperation of members among themselves.

How are the activities and structures of the Global Economic Network being financed?

• Through membership fees.
